Greece company to open Bahrain branch

A major Greek company specialising in mining, processing, trade and industrial minerals and ores is to open a branch in Bahrain as a gateway to expand its operations in the Arab region.

Industry and Commerce Minister Dr Hassan Fakhro yesterday received S&B Group chairman Aris Chatziparakevas who outlined the project.

Development director Christos Dedeloudis, Mohammed Ghazali Khan and Zogby Legal Firm representative Omar Manaski were present.

The firm is also specialised in chemical products and converting natural resources into customised value-adding industrial solutions for a broad range of applications including foundry, steel-making, construction and building materials and metallurgy.

Dr Fakhro welcomed Arab and foreign investments, stressing the government's resolve to streamline all measures for industrial ventures to be set up in Bahrain.

He highlighted incentive packages and attractive facilities for investors and modern infrastructure.

He also pointed out the pivotal role of the government in spurring economic growth and promoting investment projects, focusing particularly on small and medium industries, being the cornerstone of global economies. – TradeArabia News Service
