Barloworld Logistics, part of the 109-year-old South African conglomerate Barloworld, celebrated its 10th anniversary across its international offices today (October 3).
Over the last decade Barloworld acquired several regional logistics leaders in the Middle East, Far East, Europe and Southern Africa, to offer smart supply chain solutions to leading brands, a statement from the company said.
Frank Courtney, CEO for Barloworld Logistics International business, said: “Like any ambitious journey, 10 years ago we started out to expand strategically and within a decade’s span, we are well positioned in strategic locations to offer the smart supply chain solutions to our existing and potential clients.”
“The companies we acquired in the respective markets were regional leaders and have been in the market for several decades. The cumulative experience is far greater and Barloworld Logistic is capable to offer solutions to manage complex supply chains,” he said.

Our strategy is simple. We align our client’s supply chains to their business strategy. In other words, we ensure that our clients have the right operations, resources and capabilities to implement their strategies and realise their vision.”
“We are focused on creating and implementing smart supply chain solutions for our clients. Our overarching goal, now and in the future, remains smart logistics and supply chain solutions that deliver on our clients’ strategies and objectives,” he said. – TradeArabia News Service
