Jacobs wins Saudi project deal

Pasadena, California , April 19, 2011

Jacobs Engineering Group has received a contract from Huntsman Corporation and Zamil Group Holding Company to provide front end engineering and design (Feed) services for a project in Saudi Arabia.

The morpholine and diglycolamine agent (DGA) unit will be located in Jubail.

Officials did not disclose the contract value. They noted that Jacobs is executing the project from its offices in Houston (US), Al-Khobar (Saudi Arabia), and Mumbai (India).

The commercial unit is expected to expand production of morpholine and DGA on an annual basis, making Huntsman the largest global supplier of morpholine and DGA. The Feed stage is expected to be complete by the third quarter of 2011. Initial production is slated for 2014.

Jacobs Group vice president Mike Autrey stated: "We are delighted to grow our relationship with Huntsman and Zamil in their joint effort to expand investment in the Middle East and support production of high value-added chemicals."
