Kuwait resumes oil exports after sandstorm
Kuwait, April 14, 2011
Kuwait resumed oil exports on Thursday after halting shipments temporarily a day earlier due to bad weather, the official news agency Kuna said.
"Oil exports have resumed after they had stoped due to bad weather conditions," Kuna reported.
The Opec nation temporarily halted oil export operations on Wednesday due a sandstorm.
Weather-related delays to Kuwaiti oil shipments are not uncommon at this time of the year but rarely have a significant effect on export or production volumes.
Kuwait produced 2.42 million barrels per day of crude oil in March, according to a Reuters survey. – Reuters
