Industry and Commerce Minister Dr Hassan Fakhro chaired a second meeting of the steering committee for the new industrial city coming up in Bahrain.

It included representatives from the Finance Ministry, Economic Development Board, Electricity and Water Authority, National Oil and Gas Authority, the Municipalities Ministry, Public Commission for Protection of Marine Resources, Environment and Wildlife, and Arthur D Company.

A representative from Arthur D Company gave a presentation on analysis of Bahrain's economic environment and comparison with other experiences to be implemented to develop the kingdom's economy and enable them to compete globally by providing infrastructure to attract foreign capital and investments.

They reviewed the fundamentals that will have a direct impact on the concept of the new industrial city project.-TradeArabia News Service
