Fertiliser firms to discuss market dynamics
Dubai, May 4, 2010
Sustaining profit margins, supply of raw materials and ensuring reliability of production and operations will be some of the issues that will come under discussion at an upcoming summit of fertiliser companies in the region.
The inaugural Fertilizers Mena Summit will take place from June 13 to 15 at Hilton Hotel Abu Dhabi.
It is crucial for the firms to understand urea, ammonia, sulphur, potassium, and phosphate market dynamics, and to ensure that the right partners are selected for new builds, plant modification and upgrades, said a statement.
"Continuously learning from each other to improve the performance and safety of fertilizer plants is crucial,” said Mark Brouwer, general manager at UreaKnowHow.com and speaker at the summit.
“This conference provides an excellent opportunity for project, process, operational, mechanical, maintenance, inspection and reliability engineers to learn, discuss and explore the latest innovations and experiences,’ he added.
Topics that will be addressed at the forum include: managing the effects of supply and demand, ensuring quality fertiliser production through optimized processes, minimising the safety risks of high pressure piping systems in urea plants and extending the asset life-cycle of aging facilities. – TradeArabia News Service
