Opportunities and challenges for urban transport investment and development in Saudi Arabia will be the focus of the upcoming first urban transport conference in Riyadh.

The Urban Transport Saudi Arabia 2010 conference will take place from January 26 to 27 at the Marriot Hotel, Riyadh and will bring together transport planners, engineers, consultants and investors to discuss Saudi Arabia’s new generation of urban transport projects.

A pre-conference workshop will also take place on January 25 led by leading consultancy Booz and Co. The workshop designed for both the private and public sector will look at the strategies transport planners can use to promote modal shift in the Saudi population from cars to public transport. – TradeArabia News Service
