GAC, the world’s leading shipping, logistics and marine services company has appointed Captain Robert Olsson as the marine representative at GAC Logistica do Brasil Ltda.

Based in Rio de Janeiro, he will be responsible for supporting and driving the growth of its shipping, marine, oil and gas services in Brazil.

“Robert has a great understanding and experience of the maritime industry and I am confident that his competence and expertise will prove extremely valuable to the growing needs of our clients in the region,” said Lars Heisselberg, vice president, Americas.

Prior to this new appointment, Captain Olsson was the general manager for GAC Shipping (USA) based in Philadelphia and in charge of nationwide port agency operations in North America. He brings more than a decade of shipping and maritime industry experience where he was exposed to diverse aspects from maritime operations in ship supplies, car carrier, cruise and oil and gas sector.-TradeArabia News Service
