“We try our best in these difficult times and we are happy with the results we are able to achieve in terms of increase of 48 per cent in revenue for the first half of this year.”

“The Middle East Logistics Award is a welcome incentive for those companies who try to achieve quality and implement best practices in their operation. This award is a welcome recognition of our team’s effort to attract the best international companies from all over the world to base their regional headquarters or offices in Dubai and contribute to the overall UAE economy,” he added.

“At Dubai Airport Freezone, we implement a strategy to continuously upgrade facilities for our clients to facilitate their operation and provide them more convenience. It makes us proud that we have won this award for the third time now.”

The Personality of the Year (categories – Air, Land and Maritime respectively) awards went to Fahad A Hammad, chief executive officer of Saudi Airlines Cargo, Saudi Arabia; Jinendra Sancheti, managing director, TNT Express, Gulf, Middle East & Africa; and Jamal Majid Bin Thaniah, vice chairman, DP World, Dubai.

Dubai Industrial City vice president Rashid Al Ansari underlined the importance of “planning and implementation” in any operation, more so in logistics, citing historically how military operations relied heavily upon logistics.
