Volkswagen ends shareholding in DSM

Tel-Aviv, July 4, 2009

Volkswagen, the German-based automotive Group, is no longer a shareholder in Dead Sea Magnesium (DSM), a magnesium producing company at the Dead Sea.

DSM is part of the chemical production complex owned and operated by Israel Chemicals Limited (ICL), the Israel-based fertilisers and specialty chemicals company.

DSM began operations in 1996, developing into the second largest western magnesium producer by 2008.

Volkswagen has transferred its shares in DSM to ICL and stated that it is ending its shareholding in DSM in order to concentrate on its core business. – TradeArabia News Trade
