Proclad, TWI to set up welding hub

The Proclad Group, a market leader in weld cladding and The Welding Institute (TWI)have joined forces to set up a Centre of Excellence at the Proclad Academy in Dubai.
TWI is the largest training organisation in welding, welding inspection and non destructive testing in the world.
The partnership draws upon the skills and expertise of the two world class organisations that focus on quality, integrity and innovation, said a company official.
The Proclad Academy, which boasts of a new advanced manufacturing facility in Technopark, Dubai, will offer co-branded courses with the TWI in Welding, Non Destructive Testing, Inspection and Health and Safety.
The Centre of Excellence will be a one-stop shop for industries that rely on technically competent, qualified and safety conscious engineers, technicians and operators, remarked Proclad Group CEO Yaseen Jaffer.

'The TWI is a world renowned expert and well respected trainer in the industry around the globe, so it’s only natural that we wanted to establish this relationship at our Proclad Training Academy,' he observed.
The TWI regional manager Brain Hunt expressed delight at collaborating with Proclad and expanding the range of courses and services in the region.

The Proclad principal Mark Cullens said “We have an excellent venue that is well placed for clients being close to the industrial zones of Dubai Investment Park and the Jebel Ali Freezone and just 45-minute away from Abu Dhabi and Mussafah.'
