Kenya in $350m airport deal with Qatar group
Nairobi, January 14, 2009
The Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) said on Wednesday it would sign a $350 million deal with an investment group from Qatar for development of a hotel and conference centre at Nairobi's international airport.
KAA said the deal would be penned on Thursday in Nairobi with Doha-based Afro Asia Investment Corporation.
The investment would be in line with an expansion programme at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, KAA said in a statement.
KAA officials would not give any more details of the deal, saying they would be unveiled on Thursday.
