EUSF picks DHL as logistics partner

DHL Express has been chosen by the Egyptian University Sports Federation (EUSF) as the Official Logistics Partner for the 6th World University Squash Championship, as well as all other future EUSF events. 

Under the agreement, DHL will provide both international and domestic express logistics services to the EUSF, with the first major assignment being the World University Squash Championship in August 2008 in Cairo, at which 40 countries will be represented.

Bernard Pascal, DHL Express country manager, Egypt, said the agreement was part of DHL’s focused commitment to supporting sports and sporting organizations across the world.

“As the world leader in logistics, DHL has successfully combined its land, sea and air transport capabilities to provide a diverse range of sporting occasions with the required logistics solution, allowing organizers and participants to focus on their own areas of specialization," he noted.

"Both the individual commitment and teamwork required for such sporting occasions are a reflection of the unparalleled synergy and planning which are at the core of DHL’s global logistics operations,” Pascal added.

“DHL is a company that takes its commitment to sport and youth very seriously. This agreement will support the EUSF as it hosts this important championship in squash, one of the most popular sports in Egypt today. Commenting on the partnership Dr Abdel Hay Ebid, EUSF first vice president said: “We have the pleasure of organizing the 6th World University Squash Championship this year in Egypt, and DHL is the ideal partner to help us manage this event.
