The Radio Frequencies Identification (RFID) project started by Q-Post along with other postal organsiations in the region is likely to improve the quality of service in the whole region, a senior official said.

The RFID project is being implemented by Q-Post in association with Emirates Post and Saudi Arabian Postal Corp, Yusuf Nasser Al-Muzafer, director of administrative affairs at Q-Post, was quoted as saying by Gulf Times.

“We have entered a new phase in the implementation of the project and its installation and we thank the Universal Postal Union (UPU) for its advisory role and assistance in implementation of the project,” said Al-Muzafer.

The project started on March 3, would be completed on June 7 and it aims to test the quality of service control through Radio Frequencies Identification.

It will help Arab postal organisations in using the global monitoring system to track mail via satellite, the report said.
