Oman Oil Marketing Company (Omanoil), one of the leading Omani fuel and lubricants marketing companies in the Sultanate, has signed a five-year fuel supply agreement with Oman National Transport Company (ONTC) for the operation of its extensive fleet of 255 buses and coaches.
Under the agreement signed by Omar Ahmed Qatan, Omanoil CEO and Abdullah Saalmeen Al Ajmi, ONTC general manager, Omanoil will be the sole supplier for ONTC for the next five years.
“The agreement is an endorsement to our position as a premier provider of commercial fuels and a fabric of the Sultanate’s growth and development,” said Qatan.
“Oman National Transport Company plays a central role in the nation’s public transportation and tourism industry and we are proud to embark on this new partnership to meet the demands of a fast growing economy,” he added.
Al Ajmi pointed out that Omanoil was of vital importance for the provision of bulk fuel supplies to help ONTC achieve its objectives.
"Our aim is to enhance operations by benefiting from the omanoil’s reputed and unsurpassed quality of service, customer care and in-depth expertise to provide a total package solution that caters to our requirements,” he added.
The ONTC has been catering to the public with its vast network of standard buses and coaches for over 28 years, Al Ajmi noted.
