Muscat, September 30, 2007
Oman Air's Engineering and Maintenance Division will provide aircraft certification services for Swiss International Aircraft transiting at Seeb international Airport.
'Oman Air has capably completed Swiss International Audits associated with safety and quality standards. The successful completion of the audit verifies Oman Air's Engineering and Maintenance Division prominence, besides affirming our status providing the highest quality maintenance and the most reliable services, comparable to those set by the International Air Transport Association (IATA),' said senior manager third party and technical support Ali Redha Mohammed Baqir Al Lawatiya.
'Our high standard and competent services has increased our third party handling business customers. We currently provide technical ground handling to 30 Airline customers and other ad-hoc operators transiting via Seeb International Airport, and aircraft certification services to 13 customer airlines,' he added.
Oman Air achieved the distinction of being the 24th airline worldwide, and the third in the Arab world to be registered with IOSA. This itself is a matter of pride for Oman Air's management and staff, and is particularly creditable considering the fact that IATA represents some 240 airlines comprising 94 per cent of the international scheduled air traffic, said an official spokesman.- TradeArabia News Service
