Dammam, September 26, 2007
Zamil Air Conditioners (ZAC) has won a diverse group of new projects in Saudi Arabia with a total value of SR62 million ($16.5 million).
The projects cover educational, commercial and industrial sectors and the sites are located in the three major provinces of the kingdom.
ZAC is a sector business of Zamil Industrial and the leading Middle East and international manufacturer of air conditioning systems.
Most notable among the projects in the Western Region is the agreement to provide more than 45 air-cooled screw water chillers, air-cooled condensing units, and air handling systems of various sizes and cooling capacities at multiple project sites of the Rabigh Development Project.
ZAC will also supply a large number of air-cooled screw water chillers, packaged rooftop air conditioners, condensing units, fan coil units, and double skin air handling units of various sizes and cooling capacities to the Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) Shoiaba plants complex.
In the Eastern Region, major upcoming projects for Zamil Air Conditioners include the use of innovative climate control systems to provide a cooling capacity of over 1,000 tons to the Ibn Zahr OCT Project, Al-Khafji Joint Operations Onshore project (KJO), the Khurais Crude Oil project, as well as to a number of buildings owned by the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu.
In related developments, ZAC has also been awarded new contracts for the supply of Room Air Conditioners and Mini-split units to a number of governmental, commercial and industrial organizations across Saudi Arabia.
“The third quarter of 2007 has been an extremely rewarding period for Zamil Air Conditioners. Over the years, we have invested heavily in product development and in the quality processes of our engineering and production capacities. This has enabled us to manufacture products and provide services that best meet the needs of our diverse customer base — as evidenced by this particular group of projects,” said Osama Bunyan, executive vice president, ZAC.
As part of its ongoing regional expansion program aimed at the fulfillment of the increasing demand for high-quality air conditioning systems in the region, Zamil Air Conditioners has recently signed several new distributor agreements with a number of HVAC distributors and dealers in Saudi Arabia and other GCC countries. These distributors will take an active role in the promotion, distribution and sales of innovative consumer products in the domestic and regional markets, he said. – TradeArabia News Service
