Manchester United Soccer Schools (MUSS) has appointed UAE-based GAC Logistics as its official logistics supplier.

Under the agreement, GAC will provide global logistics services to support MUSS' coaching programmes and events held around the world.

With established programmes in the UK, Hong Kong, Dubai and the US, MUSS conduct authentic and unique soccer coaching clinics which draw thousands of young players each year who aspire to 'Learn to play the United Way', said an official spokesman.

The first batch of shipments recently completed under the agreement involved the movement of football training kits and equipment to destinations in Sweden, the US and Macau for a series of summer coaching clinics.

'Managing the logistics for Manchester United Soccer Schools - the world's biggest sporting club - goes beyond moving products from Point A to B. It gives us the opportunity to play our part in facilitating the development of sport education,' said group vice-president, Logistics Services, Bill Hill.

MUSS director, Emma Savage said the partnership with GAC had started on a very positive note with the smooth handling of some time-sensitive shipments.

'We have been very impressed with the way the team at GAC Manchester developed the most expedient and cost efficient way for each delivery,' Savage added.Trade Arabia News Service
