Thermoset expands production line
Dubai, May 28, 2007
Thermoset Technologies Middle East, a leading manufacturer of hot pressed GRP water tanks, has announced a major expansion of its production capacity.
The expansion will meet the increasing demand for its products from clients across the Middle East region, the company said.
The company has added a 2,000 tonne custom-made press costing Dh2.5 million that can annually produce 18,000 large-sized panels for water tanks.
In the last three months, Thermoset has secured several major contracts including Dubai Motor City, Rotana Hotels and Bahrain Financial Harbour, which has helped the company strengthen its presence in the regional market.
The advantages of hot pressed GRP water tanks such as mobility, easy installation, suitability to extreme climates, durability, large storage capacity and better water quality, make it a preferred choice for water storage for industrial users, hotels, offices, homes, hospitals and building complexes, says Ali Abdul Karim, general manager, Thermoset Technologies.
“The addition of the new 2,000 tonne press will help us increase our production capacity by 100 per cent,” he said. “Over the years, investments in new technologies and innovative manufacturing techniques have enabled us to considerably reduce our production costs while maintaining our very high quality standards, which have become our hallmark. This has also helped us effectively tap new markets in the UAE and also other countries in the region such as Qatar, Jordan, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.”
In addition to various sized panels for water tanks, the newly installed press also has the capacity to produce bath tubs, kitchen sinks, sheets for car sheds, and other architectural elements, thus complementing the company’s future plans of diversifying its product range, he said.
“We will soon be launching a full range of products related to the water storage and handling industry, leveraging our know-how and years of experience in this domain,” said Karim.
