Al Qutami, said: “Dubai Health Authority is aware of the growing demand for its specialised health services across hospitals, primary care centres and specialised centres. Cardiology is one of the most important fields of medicine and the establishment of an international centre for cardiology will increase Dubai's competitive capabilities on the international medical front, and it will further bolster its position on the global medical tourism map.”

He highlighted that DHA has highly qualified healthcare professionals in the field of cardiology and that the DHA cardiology departments are recognised for their specialised services they provide both in interventional and open-heart cardiac procedures. The cardiology departments of DHA hospitals have become a referral centre for complicated cardiac cases and the establishment of this dedicated international centre will further aid in the provision of high level care.
