Thumbay Group ready for annual Healthy Baby Contest
DUBAI, February 21, 2017
The annual Healthy Baby Contest & Exhibition, Dubai’s largest family fun event, will be held on February 24 from 2pm to 9pm at Thumbay Hospital, Dubai.
More than 1,000 children have registered to participate in the contest that rewards children up to 5 years of age in the brackets: (a) Three months to one year; (b) one to two years; (c) two to three years; (d) three to four years and (d) four to five years.
Under the competition’s guidelines, each participating child is judged by a panel of leading pediatricians as well as experts from the Thumbay network of academic hospitals on factors such as the overall physical/mental growth, complete immunization, and the parents’ knowledge about childcare. In addition, participating children will be awarded for special categories such as Curly Hair, Sparkling Eyes, Sunshine Smile and Chubby Cheeks, for each of the age groups.
Bollywood celeb Karishma Kapoor will grace the occasion to engage in a meet and greet photo-session and extend her support in raising awareness on promoting a healthy lifestyle and nutrition needs of children. In addition, parents will be provided free access to parents with the renowned pediatricians of Thumbay Hospitals to learn tips and suggestions for providing the perfect-growing up environment.
The five-hour long contest will also have fun activities for kids, such as play areas for winter snow, hospital, airport, fire station, creative craft stations, children’s train ride, bouncy castles, toddlers’ play area, magic show, musical parade, meet and greet the prince and the princess, etc. Special prizes will also be given to the little ones dressed in their favourite magical character costumes.
