Dubai's Hatta Hospital gets JCI accreditation

DUBAI, January 21, 2017

Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has announced that one of its facilities, the Hatta Hospital, has received international accreditation from the Joint Commission International (JCI).

Hatta Hospital now joins a list of DHA facilities that received the accreditation, which include 10 primary health care centers; Nad Al Hamar, Al Badaa, Al Barsha, Al Khawaneej, Al Safa, Al Twar, Al Mizhar, Al Mankhool, Al Mamzar and Al Lissaily, said a statement from Authority.

JCI is an organization which works to improve patient safety and quality of health care in the international community by offering education, publications, advisory services, and international accreditation and certification.

Humaid Al Qatami, the chairman of the board and director general of the DHA, said that receiving these international accreditations was a testimonial to the high standards of medical services offered at DHA facilities.

Along with the Dubai Hospital, Rashid Hospital, Hatta Hospital and Latifa Hospital, other DHA facilities have also received the accreditation. These include Dubai Airport Medical Center, Al Maktoum Center and the Thalassemia Center, he added.-TradeArabia News Service
