Aster DM Healthcare unveils facility in Bengaluru

DUBAI, August 30, 2016

Dubai-based conglomerate Aster DM Healthcare has formally launched its newly-upgraded quaternary care super-specialty healthcare facility Aster CMI Hospital in the Indian city of Bengaluru.

The Aster CMI Hospital offers advanced modern healthcare with dedicated centres of excellence in cardiac-sciences, neuro-sciences, gastro-sciences, general & lapro surgery, integrated liver care, organ transplant, urology & nephrology, orthopaedics, women, & child and adolescent health, a statement said.

The super-speciality hospital includes 12 modular operation theatres, a dedicated transplant ICU and bone marrow transplant Unit, NABL accredited clinical lab and a blood bank. It also features cutting-edge technology such as 3 Tesla MRI, 128 Slice CT scanner and hybrid cath lab.

The Hospital was inaugurated by legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar in the presence of Dr Azad Moopen, chairman & managing director of Aster DM Healthcare and several dignitaries.

With an investment outlay of around Rs 230 crores (Dh126 million or $34 million), Aster CMI Hospital aims to provide medical care in accordance with global best practices in healthcare. Sachin Tendulkar congratulated Dr Moopen and the Aster DM Healthcare family on the opening of another super specialty healthcare facility in India. He said, “My relationship with healthcare runs very long thanks to the multiple injuries throughout my career. In fact, I would not have been able to serve Indian cricket and chase my dreams but for the support and care of many medical professionals and physiotherapists!”

Aster DM Healthcare took over the operations of Cauvery Medical Centre in May 2014 and revamped the facility to a quaternary care multi-Specialty facility with now 509 beds & many centres of excellence.
