Mediclinic breaks ground on new Dubai hospital

DUBAI, February 21, 2016

Mediclinic Middle East, part of private hospital group Mediclinic International, has broken ground on its new 150-plus-bed general hospital located on Um Suqeim Road in Dubai, UAE.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the Mediclinic Parkview Hospital was attended by Saif bin Markham Al Ketbi, director general of the Office of the Crown Prince of Dubai, David Hadley, CEO of Mediclinic Middle East, Mohammed Rashid Al Ketbi, Ahmed Ali, executive director of Mediclinic Middle East and Dr Tarek Fathey, COO of Mediclinic Middle East.

“I am delighted that the construction of Mediclinic Parkview Hospital is now under way.  This new hospital will bring the same level of service and treatment that our patients have come to expect from Mediclinic’s existing hospitals in Dubai Healthcare City and Al Garhoud, but in a far more convenient location for those living in ‘New Dubai’,” said Hadley.

Once finished at the end of 2018, Mediclinic Parkview Hospital will provide international standard healthcare services to the southern area of Dubai which is currently under-serviced by a facility of this quality.

Mediclinic International recently combined with Al Noor Hospitals Group, with operations mainly in Abu Dhabi, to create an enlarged Mediclinic group now featuring 73 hospitals and 43 clinics.  Mediclinic Middle East operates five hospitals and 38 clinics with more than 600 inpatient beds in the UAE. – TradeArabia News Service
