Heterosexual transmission of HIV in Bahrain is on the rise, warned a top health official. While most cases of HIV in the country were a result of addicts injecting drugs, the recent trend was transmission through couples, said Health Ministry medical department chairwoman and HIV consultation committee head Dr Jameela Al Salman, reported the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
