Recycled food waste to power Bahrain

MANAMA, September 25, 2015

Methane gas collected from rotting food waste can be used to help power Bahrain, a leading councillor has proposed. Northern Municipal Council vice-chairman Ahmed Al Kooheji wants to see biodegradable rubbish used to make compost and electricity, instead of just being thrown away, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
