DUBAI, August 3, 2015

Medcare Hospital, a premium private general medical facility in Dubai, UAE, has announced that it has been empanelled with the Dubai Government-funded Saada Health Insurance Program for citizens.

It is the first private hospital to be empanelled with the Saada Insurance program, according to a company statement.

The Saada Health Insurance Program was initiated last month, by HH Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

It endeavours to provide health cover in private hospitals for Emiratis with no previous government or private insurance coverage. A large number of citizens have enrolled in the plan.

Ala Atari, CEO of Medcare Hospital, welcomed the Saada scheme and stated that Emiratis enrolled in it would receive the best medical treatments available in the region, from his hospital.

“Medcare Hospital has developed a unique healthcare system, which promotes excellence and support towards the achievement of highest standards in preventive, curative and rehabilitative healthcare”, he said.

According to Atari, the Saada scheme is an example of the type of policies and regulations the authorities have put in place, in order to encourage the private sector to develop their healthcare capabilities and infrastructure.  - TradeArabia News Service
