350 firms showcase healthcare offerings at Saudi event

RIYADH, May 19, 2015

More than 350 exhibitors from 18 countries are showcasing a wide range of innovative healthcare solutions at an ongoing three-day healthcare event in Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi Health 2015 will run till May 20 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The event is a meeting hub for healthcare professionals, medical services providers, health insurance companies, medical technicians, pharmacists, and drug manufacturers.

Saudi Health is also hosting Continuing Medical Education (CME)-accredited conferences to provide an in-depth knowledge about the industry’s prevailing and future trends.

Khalid Al Araj, Minister of Civil Services, who inaugurated the third edition of the event, said: “We are glad to open the Saudi Health exhibition on behalf of H.E, Eng. Khalid Al Falih, the minister of health. The kingdom of Saudi Arabia is supporting this sector. The Government of His Highness, the custodian of the two holly mosques, King Salman ‘God Bless him’ is giving the health sector huge importance and support, in other words a huge sum of the budget has been allocated to the health sector.

“I have also seen that this year the Saudi health exhibition is witnessing a huge development in the number of visitors and exhibitors, in addition to various new products and we have seen exhibitors from USA and Canada and Germany, which convey the importance of the Saudi market. I also wish that next the Saudi health will also develop.”

“Saudi Health 2015 opened amidst tremendous response from visitors eager to learn more about the rapid advancements made by the healthcare industry,” said an official from REC, the organiser of the event.

“The show will continue to engage attendees through a series of enlightening conferences and workshops that will help in enhancing the skills and knowledge of the country’s healthcare professionals. We are upbeat that Saudi Health will be a perfect platform for the exchange of knowledge, international best practices, and next-generation medical equipments,” he said. - TradeArabia News Service
