Tasweek healthcare city wins Morocco award

ABU DHABI, April 11, 2015

Abu Dhabi-based Tasweek Real Estate Development and Marketing, said its Marrakesh Healthcare City was named the best private medical project in Morocco and Africa at the Medical Expo 2015 held recently in Casablanca.

Marrakesh Healthcare City is a mixed-use $60 million residential and healthcare complex representing one of the first mega healthcare investment initiatives in Morocco.

It covers an area of around 21,000 sq m and is strategically located just a few minutes away from the national airport and the Central Business District of Marrakesh, Morocco’s third largest city. The new healthcare city is expected to commence operations by the first half of 2015.

Event organizer OFEC (Office des Foires et Expositions de Casablanca) commended Tasweek for the major role its third-general medical infrastructure plays in creating advanced ‘Healthcare Cities’ and improving the medical tourism in Morocco.

The trophy for the ‘Best Private Medical Project' was handed over to Tasweek CEO Masood Al Awar at a special award cetemony held in Casablanca.

On the win, Al Awar said: "The health and well-being of citizens are crucial to the growth and progress of any nation and we at Tasweek believe that the property sector should broaden its contributions further towards building advanced infrastructure to optimize medical services for the benefit of present and future generations."-TradeArabia News Service
