Dermatology solutions demand show growth in UAE
DUBAI, April 7, 2015
The increasing cases of dermatological disorders, growing awareness of skin diseases and every-increasing trend towards non-invasive aesthetic procedures are driving the dermatology treatment solutions market, according to a leading player.
Al Hikma, a major player in the UAE cosmetics and skincare products, said annual sales of dermatology solutions will reach $30 billion, quoting EuroMonitor figures.
Taking part in the Dubai World Dermatology and Laser Conference and Exhibition - Dubai Derma, which will conclude on April 9 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, Al Hikma said the demand for dermatology solutions has been showing remarkable growth in the UAE.
Dr Ali F Abdulqader, managing director, Al Hikma, said: “Skincare solutions have proved to be effective aesthetic procedures, especially with the complex and advanced scientific solutions that are being introduced regularly. The industry is growing in line with the growth of other economic sectors and spending power in the region.
According to Dr Abdulqader, the derma market is segmented on the basis of products on offer. In the UAE, dermatologists and physicians fully understand the significance of the products provided by cosmetics companies which can in many cases be a good alternative for drugs and medicines or even surgeries.
“Cosmetology is a burgeoning industry as evidenced by growing number of international companies exhibiting creams and specilalised equipment at this conference. At Al Hikma we are showcasing a wide range of products from our portfolio of beauty brands. The products brought by Al Hikma to the region are distinguished by their components backed by extensive pre-launch studies to ensure that customers get top of the line solutions.”
Al Hikma is displaying at the show SkinConcept products, pioneers in innovative beauty and skin care category.
The company is also showcasing its highly successful Vinoderm brand in the region. Two other major brands ‘SwissCode’ and ‘Vetia Floris’ are also on display.
“There is all-round growth in demand for our global dermatology treatment solutions. Vinoderm is doing very well. The Swiss brand combines modern formulations with the latest high-tech skin care compounds. We have developed an effective and luxurious skincare line that draws its strengths from nature. Vinoderm meets the requirements of all skin types,” Dr Abdulqader added. - TradeArabia News Service
