500 experts for Abu Dhabi multi-speciality meet

ABU DHABI, September 4, 2014

More than 500 healthcare professionals and residents will discuss latest updates and information on clinical issues for every day practice in internal medicine and paediatrics at an upcoming multispecialty summit in Abu Dhabi.

Sponsored by Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) and endorsed by the American College of Physicians (ACP), Sheikh Khalifa Medical City’s (SKMC) annual Multispecialty Conference: Board Reviews and Clinical Updates will take place from October 28 to November 1 at the Beach Rotana Hotel.

The conference programme holds more than 130 sessions and includes a faculty of more than 90 national and international speakers.

“The program content will prepare medical residents in training and clinical practitioners for their board certification and recertification examinations,” said Dr Abdulmajeed Al Zubaidi, conference president and chief medical officer at SKMC, certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine.

“Topics included in our annual conference are adult and paediatric cardiovascular diseases, diabetes and endocrinology, infectious diseases, emergency medicine, allergy, nephrology, gastroenterology, haematology, oncology, respirology, rheumatology, psychiatry, surgery and neurology, and so the conference is geared towards healthcare professionals in all medical fields.”

The conference will aim at teaching healthcare professionals and residents how to apply clinical reasoning to uncommon manifestations and common problems while making recommendations for optimal management of the disease, he added. – TradeArabia News Service
