Assisted reproductive technology centre opens in Riyadh

The Kingdom Hospital Centre for Assisted Reproductive Technology was recently inaugurated by Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud, chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC), chairman and founder of Kingdom Hospitals (KH).
 
He commended the hospital’s leadership on establishing such a centre equipped with the latest technology and state-of-the-art embryology laboratory coupled with highly qualified medical care team specialised in reproductive endocrinology, infertility and embryology.
 
The centre provides a comprehensive range of safe and effective treatment modalities for couples struggling with infertility, said a statement.
 
The service include intrauterine insemination, testicular sperm extraction, in-vitro fertilization (IVF) and embryo cryopreservation in compliance with Islamic shariah.
 
Additionally, the centre also offers advanced laparoscopic techniques for the diagnosis and treatment of infertility.
 
Dr Fayez Takieddine, executive director, Kingdom Hospital and Consulting Clinics, said the center is designed and equipped according to the highest international standards and the latest technology in the diagnosis and treatment of infertility and assisted reproduction techniques supported with systems for quality control to ensure the highest degree of accuracy for the achievement of the best outcomes. 
 
The centre has a special IVF information system that guarantees the privacy and confidentiality of the patients’ data and is equipped with a cutting-edge digital embryology laboratory, he said.
 
The embryology laboratory is designed and constructed with a special air filtering system that eliminates toxic organic molecules which negatively affects embryo development, he added. - TradeArabia News Service
