Abu Dhabi hospital opens new luxury suites

Corniche Hospital, which is owned and operated by Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (Seha), has announced the opening of the first phase of Al Reef floor, which houses 16 superior suites.

The hospital’s 4th floor which is named as Al Reef now hosts the new luxury suites which are called Jasmine and Orchid suites. The Al Reef phase one opened doors of its five Super Deluxe Orchid suites and eleven Deluxe Jasmine suites to Emirati patients.

Dr Mariam Al Mazrouei, the deputy CEO and chief operations officer said this is a significant step taken by Corniche Hospital to augment its services provided to the nationals.

"Our mission is to provide family-centered compassionate healthcare services in the utmost comfort to our patients, and with the opening of the first phase of Al Reef floor, we are very pleased to satisfy the needs of our UAE National patients," he noted.

Mohamed Hassan Al Zaabi, the executive director of Facilities Development and Maintenance, asserted that Seha has always been keen on designing its facilities according to the best practices adopted in the field of medical facilities design.

"Seha aims at covering the increasing need for medical services in Abu Dhabi, and that is why the new sections at Corniche Hospital have been equipped with the latest medical trends of healthcare. Each unit has been uniquely designed with top-notch interior designs and relaxing colors," said Al Zaabi.

"The units have been also equipped with flat screens, smart curtains and a kitchen that covers the need of the entire wing which brings about a different experience for the patients and their visitors. The new facilities are connected by independent corridors with peaceful illumination and modernized nursing stations," he added.  

Peter Toombs, the general service manager of Corniche Hospital, said: "The aim of this project is to make patients feel like they are at home.  We have endeavored to infuse ingenuity in the interiors to help patients forget that they are in a hospital."
