Dubai IVF clinic extends insurance network

Dubai, April 21, 2014

Bourn Hall, a leading Dubai-based IVF clinic, has recently tied up with top UAE national insurance providers in a move to extend its fertility treatment services to patients covered by the providers.

The alliances were signed with Thiqa, which is managed by Daman, and Daman Premier, as well as International Patient Care (IPC), a department of Health Authority – Abu Dhabi (HAAD).

Thiqa insurance holders can get up to 90 per cent coverage for up to three cycles. Even if the first cycle does not lead to pregnancy, Thiqa insurance will pay for the subsequent two treatments, irrespective of their success, a statement said.

Daman Premier insurance covers patients in UAE (expats as well as nationals) and follows a similar procedure; up to three cycles are paid for and features comprehensive coverage.

Finally, International Patient Care (IPC), which refers patients for treatment abroad or to private hospitals and medical centers in the country, will now cover the full costs of IVF treatment at Bourn Hall Clinic in the UAE.

This means UAE nationals that require fertility treatment can now can get the same state-of-the-art medical treatment at Bourn Hall as they would in IVF Centers abroad, the statement said.

Bruno Rosset, founder of Bourn Hall Clinic Dubai and executive director of Commercial Operations, said: “We are very pleased to partner with the country’s leading health insurance companies such as Thiqa, Daman Premier and IPC.”

“This association brings hope to many Emirati childless couples who couldn’t benefit from world class fertility treatments previously. This is also a true reflection of the UAE’s national agenda to help eradicate future hereditary disease which can only be accomplished through IVF and Pre-impanation Genetic Diagnosis – (PGD),” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
