Bahrain King orders development of wildlife areas
Manama, December 18, 2012
Bahrain’s His Majesty King Hamad yesterday toured wildlife areas and directed authorities to take more care of these regions, noting that Bahrain has many areas for leisure which can be considered holiday destinations.
He was accompanied by his Personal Representative and Public Commission for the Protection of Marine Resources, Environment and Wildlife president Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, according to a report in our sister publication, the Gulf Daily News.
The King was updated on efforts of the commission to preserve the environment and wildlife, especially after the recent rain in Bahrain, which would benefit green areas and diversify the wildlife.
He also reviewed services provided by the Southern Governorate for campers.
He commended efforts to preserve the environment and wildlife in the kingdom. – TradeArabia News Service
