Seha reviews tenders for 688-bed Al Ain hospital

Abu Dhabi, February 23, 2012

Seha, the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company, has announced that the tenders for building the new Al Ain hospital have been reviewed during a meeting held in its headquarters in Abu Dhabi.

The meeting was attended by an expert committee of engineers and consultants, and included representatives from the bidding contractors, said a statement from Seha.

The hospital will be built on a 358,000 sq m area as part of Seha’s infrastructural development strategy, the statement said.

The 688-bed hospital – of which 150 are for rehabilitation – will be built on cutting edge architectural designs and equipped with state-of-the-art medical equipment, it said.

The new Al Ain Hospital premises will include sections for women’s health, postnatal care, children’s health, emergency, ICU and internal medicine, as well as an underground parking facility.

It is expected to further the provision of healthcare in Al Ain and further develop the overall healthcare infrastructure of Abu Dhabi. – TradeArabia News Service
