SunTech unveils new disposable BP cuffs
New York, May 17, 2011
US-based SunTech Medical, a leader in non-invasive blood pressure measurement products and technologies, has rolled out its new line of disposable blood pressure cuffs.
These cuffs feature an exclusive, tapered-end design for easier cuff application and softer materials for enhanced patient comfort, said a company statement.
External and internal range indicators ensure accuracy and fit, and a dedicated single-patient identification line helps minimize cross contamination where infection control is a concern, it added.
“With the increased adoption of automated blood pressure measurement as the standard of care in hospitals and doctors’ offices, it is important to understand that the blood pressure cuff is the sensor and acts as the first point of contact for acquiring accurate information for each measurement,” explained Stephanie Monk, senior product manager.
“With that in mind, we have applied our expertise in blood pressure measurement to the design of our new line of disposable blood pressure cuffs,” Monk said.
Dayn McBee, CEO said, “At SunTech Medical, we strive to produce blood pressure products that meet and exceed our customers’ expectations.”
“Our unique approach to the disposable BP cuff design meets the demands of infection control requirements while maintaining patient comfort. We have put our vast knowledge of accurate blood pressure measurement into an affordable and competitive product that we are pleased to bring to the market,” he noted.
The new range rounds out SunTech Medical’s current portfolio of BP cuffs, which include general-use and specialty blood pressure cuffs designed to meet the widest variety of clinical applications and environments.-TradeArabia News Service
