Prominent international personalities from the US, UK, Canada, France and Germany will speak at an upcoming healthcare insurance summit in Riyadh.

Organised by the Saudi Ministry of Health, the inaugural edition of the Health Insurance Conference – “Options & Prospects” will take place at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Centre on April 10 and 11.

Organised concurrently with Saudi Medicare 2011 – the 14th international healthcare, hospital supplies and medical equipment show, the first Saudi Health Insurance Conference will focus on two important themes affecting healthcare insurance in Saudi Arabia: "Basics and concepts of health insurance (applications and vision)" and "Global comparison of health care systems in accordance with the political, economic challenges and future prospects".

Discussions will also focus on healthcare best practices adopted by different countries as well as recent developments in the global health insurance sector.

"With the growing medical requirements of Saudi Arabia and the increasing investments in the medical sector, it is equally important to establish a robust health insurance system in the country,” said Mohammed Al Hussaini, deputy general manager, Riyadh Exhibitions Company, organiser of Saudi Medicare.

“The Saudi Health Insurance Conference has therefore been organised to provide the ideal platform to discuss opportunities, challenges and best practices and provide solutions from global expertise that are relevant to the health insurance sector in Saudi Arabia,” he added.

Saudi Medicare 2011 will also be held concurrently with Saudi Eye Care 2011 – the seventh international eye care and optical technology exhibition and Saudi Dentistry 2011 – the 10th international dental health exhibition and Saudi Lab 2011 – the international laboratory and analytics exhibition.

Saudi Medicare 2011 will run from April 10 to 13 at the Riyadh International Exhibition Centre.

The second Radiology Technologists Conference will also be held concurrently with Saudi Medicare 2011.

Organised by the General Directorate of Hospital Affairs Administration of Radiology, the Radiology Technologists Conference will gather experts from all over the world who will share new applications, procedures, researches, trials and needs in the field of medical radiology. – TradeArabia News Service
