UAE dentists offer new teeth whitening system
Dubai, February 9, 2011
A number of dental clinics in the UAE have launched a new dental grade teeth whitening product for professional use.
Artiste, manufactured by US-based WhiteScience, which comes at a low price and takes a fraction of the time of other whitening systems on the market without compromising on quality, was introduced in the UAE by Dubai-based Smile Express, a distributor of dental and cosmetic teeth whitening products, a statement said.
Recently a host of other dental clinics have introduced the product following the lead by the Dental Studio in Jumeirah including the Dubai Sky Clinic, Dr Michael’s Dental Clinic, American Dental Clinic, North Carolina Clinic and gentlemen’s salon 1847.
“We are delighted with the response from dental professionals in Dubai. The technology and the highly reduced treatment times make it a good choice for dentists. Despite having a lower price point for the consumer, professionals using the Artiste whitening products have potential for higher revenues,” said Charlie Taylor, chief executive officer, Smile Express.
“At only 20 minutes duration for whitening treatments compared to other systems that can take more than an hour, it means reduced patient chair-time, and the ability for dentists to see more patients in a day.” he explained.
Artiste provides a guaranteed whitening result, with little to no pain, and no sensitivity, gum irritation, shade regression, or enamel erosion caused by all other non-pH neutral whitening formulations, the statement added.
When used as recommended after a cleaning, shade improvements of 4-8 shades whiter, dependent upon individual patient factors, according to the statement.
Dr Anton Dewaal from The Dental Studio in Dubai said: “It is the quickest solution on the market and provides excellent results. Our clients achieve an average of four shades whiter but achieving results of up to eight shades has been possible.”
“The other factor is that it is much more affordable and the at-home follow up treatment does not involve the use of gel-filled mouth guards which can be cumbersome,” he added. – TradeArabia News Service
