Experts to discuss advances at Saudi Medicare
Riyadh, April 3, 2010
Top healthcare professionals will discuss latest advances, new applications in medical technology and radiology at two forums to be held alongside Saudi Medicare, the international healthcare, hospital supplies and medical equipment show.
The 13th edition of Saudi Medicare will take place from April 12 to 15 at the Riyadh International Exhibition Centre.
The fourth Medical Devices Scientific Forum and the first Radiology Technologists Conference, both of which are accredited by the Saudi Council for Health Specialties, will support efforts in Saudi Arabia to improve medical facilities and restructure the management of 218 government hospitals into private enterprises.
The Radiology Technologists Conference will introduce new applications and provide in-depth discussions in areas such as medical imaging, nuclear medicine, radiotherapy and radiation protection.
The Medical Devices Scientific Forum will focus on topics related to medical devices technology, its management and the challenges facing those working in this field.
"Through these forums, we intend to provide in-depth discussions and create awareness about the latest advances in medical devices technology and radiology,” said Mohammed Al Hussaini, deputy general manager, Riyadh Exhibitions Company, organiser of Saudi Medicare 2010.
The forums will also serve as excellent networking platforms, particularly in view of ongoing efforts to enhance medical facilities and privatise government hospitals across Saudi Arabia, Al Hussaini added.
"Some of the world's leading practitioners, including 23 high-profile speakers from Saudi Arabia and from around the world, will also be attending the Medical Devices Scientific Forum,” said Al Hussaini.
“The Saudi Food and Drug Authority, the organiser of the forums, has prepared a diverse range of topics that are increasingly becoming crucial in the provision of medical services, including healthcare informatics, health education and consumer awareness, and even challenges facing regulatory authorities," he concluded.
Saudi Medicare 2010 will also be held concurrently with Saudi Eye Care 2010 – the sixth International Eye Care and Optical Technology Exhibition and Saudi Dentistry 2010 – the ninth International Dental Health Exhibition.
Saudi Medicare has increased its exhibition area by 30 per cent to accommodate a growth in the number of exhibitors and trade visitors, a statement said. – TradeArabia News Service
