Emaar Healthcare Group, the healthcare arm of Emaar Properties, is expanding its presence and reach in Dubai, with new facilities to open in Downtown Burj Dubai, Arabian Ranches and The Meadows.

Building on the partnership with Methodist International, a subsidiary of US-based Methodist Hospital, announced last year, these facilities will provide the highest international standards in healthcare delivery, said a statement.

Downtown Burj Dubai Medical Centre, which opens later in 2009 in the 500-acre Downtown Burj Dubai community, will be the flagship healthcare facility to open under Emaar Healthcare Group.

In addition to providing a full range of primary patient care specialties within a premium out-patient facility, the medical centre will also offer advanced services in diagnostic imaging with on-site laboratory facilities.

The opening of Downtown Burj Dubai Medical Centre, a multi-speciality outpatient centre, and the community clinics, will mark the start of a patient referral network which will later be supported by a secondary care hospital.
