ENBD REIT, the Nasdaq Dubai-listed Shari’a-compliant real estate investment trust managed by Emirates NBD Asset Management, said work on its South View School located within the Remraam Community in Dubai was progressing well and on track for completion by the beginning for the next academic year commencing September 2018.

The total gross floor area of the school will be 132,000 sq ft on a plot covering 183,504 sq ft. South View School will be able to accommodate nearly 1,800 children at full capacity and will start from the FS1 level through to the 12th grade, said a statement from ENBD REIT.

The school will be operated by Interstar Education, part of Interstar Advisory Services, which currently runs the successful and well-established Victory Heights Primary School in Dubai Sports City.

This will be Interstar Education’s fifth Dubai campus and its second British curriculum school once completed, it stated.

Tim Rose, the head of real estate at Emirates NBD Asset Management, said: "We are pleased to announce that concrete has been poured for the entire foundation with the support columns for the next levels to be erected in the coming week."

"The project is currently meeting its delivery timeline for opening at the beginning of the next school year. We believe that this school will enhance the Remraam community with the offer of a first-class British curriculum institution," he noted.

Amit Kothari, the executive director of Interstar Education, said: "We are looking forward to the complete structure of the school being completed by the end of this year. This is an exciting time for Interstar Education and an important development for local community."

Since its establishment in 2000, Interstar Education has provided schooling to 15,000 children across five campuses in the UAE and India. The group runs two Delhi Private Schools in the UAE, and first entered the British curriculum with Wonder Years Nursery in Dubai Sports City.

It has since established Victory Heights Primary School, which has enjoyed considerable success, stated Kothari.
