Abu Dhabi TDIC workers' village gets top honours

ABU DHABI, May 8, 2017

Abu Dhabi's Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC) said its large-scale housing complex for staff working on Saadiyat Island projects, has been named as best and happiest workers village in the UAE.

“The Best and Happiest Workers and Accommodation Village in the UAE” award was given to Saadiyat Accommodation Village at a ceremony held during the “Labour happiness” event in Abu Dhabi.

Fuad Mashal, the chief executive of Al Barakah Holding, the operating company for Saadiyat Accommodation Village, received the top honours in front of a large gathering in Saadiyat Island.

The award comes in recognition for TDIC’s commitment to the welfare of workers, stated Mashal.

The Abu Dhabi firm has over the years invested in top quality living quarters and sustainable initiatives that enhance the safety, welfare and social wellbeing of residents within the community, he added.

Opened in 2009 on Saadiyat Island, the accommodation village offers an array of social, recreational and educational facilities for its residents, including multilingual libraries, grocery stores, computer rooms with internet access, sporting facilities and a range of additional conveniences.-TradeArabia News Service
