HR Tech Mena Summit set to begin in Dubai
DUBAI, UAE , May 16, 2016
Dubai is gearing up to host the annual HR Tech Mena Summit, which will feature an extensive line-up of leading industry experts from the IT and human resources (HR) sectors to share their knowledge on a host of topics around HR technology.
Set up by event organiser QnA International, the summit will be held at the St Regis Hotel, Al Habtoor City, Dubai, from May 18 to 19.
Commenting on the concept behind the event, Sidh NC, director of QnA International, said: “It was clear to us, that the Mena region’s HR leaders were looking to become more business performance centric and employee centric. It was proving difficult to enable this in mid-size and large enterprises. Further, we knew that the latest technologies would definitely enable streamlining business processes, create engaged employees and help businesses perform better.”
“Amidst the many number of HR events focusing on the HR industry and professionals in the region, none focused on HR technology. So we were thoroughly excited at the prospects of this excellent opportunity,’’ he added.
The first HR Tech Mena Summit was held in 2015, which attracted a plethora of experts from both the IT and HR sectors, and resulted in lively discussions. This year’s edition will include a mixed programme of panel discussions, keynote presentations, roundtables, and networking opportunities.
The keynote presentations will be delivered by industry leading companies such as SAP, Oracle, Infor, Willis Towers Watson, Halogen Software, Avature and IBM who will cover topics ranging from integrated HR; building and converting one’s organisation into a ‘talent magnet’; the need to shift from legacy HR systems; the use of consumer grade HR portals and shared service centre software; performance management and development; and how SaaS influences policies and strategies around talent management in organisations.
Some other topics that will be covered by experts in HR and IT fields will include the effect of millennials on the workforce; the uses and security of cloud systems; compensation and benefits technology; creating engaged organisations; recruitment; and HR analytics.
Over the two-day summit, panel discussions will be held featuring eminent professionals from both sectors who will tackle probing and thought-provoking topics. “In the last edition of HR Tech, we found that the attendees and delegates thoroughly enjoyed the panel discussions, as it brought on a clash of different view-points and tends to provide lively debates. So this year we have increased the number of panel discussions,’’ concluded Sidh. –TradeArabia News Service
