Thousands of jobs have been created in Bahrain over the past two decades thanks to a United Nations (UN) agency working with entrepreneurs in the country, it has been revealed. The Enterprise Development and Investment Promotion programme was set up by the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (Unido) in 1996, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
