MBS Mideast launches creativity online survey
DUBAI, October 13, 2015
Manchester Business School Middle East Centre (MBS) has launched an online survey for public and private sector working professionals, as part of its research into the drivers and barriers to creativity and innovation in the cultural context of the GCC.
MBS Middle East Centre is undertaking a customised regional research programme to produce powerful, practical research to understand the drivers and barriers to creativity and innovation in the unique context of the GCC, at the level of the organisation, team and individual, said a statement.
The first in-depth regional research into creativity and innovation will produce key findings event to share the research findings more broadly, and a series of ‘How To’ guides, seminars and masterclasses, providing practical benefits; an initial summary will be shared in 2015; and full research report leading to formal academic publication in 2016.
According to MBS, creativity has been recognised as the key skill for success in the 21st century but understanding the context of people and culture is vital to nurturing it effectively.
Randa Bessiso, director – Middle East, Manchester Business School, said: “Innovation is central to the ambitious economic visions of all the GCC countries; as a research-driven business school, MBS is focusing on practical solutions and support and this ground-breaking research aims to help the region better understand and harness its vast creative potential. We encourage professionals across the GCC to share their views and contribute to this important project by completing the online survey.”
Everyone completing the 10-minute questionnaire will be eligible for a complimentary soft copy of the initial findings, on publication, and all data obtained through the survey will be treated as confidential.
The MBS Middle East research programme was announced in April and the programme kicked-off with focus groups in the GCC, as part of the survey design process.
It was launched to mark Manchester Business School’s 50th anniversary this year and, in the UAE, to coincide with the ‘Year of Innovation.’ - TradeArabia News Service
