A declaration issued at the end of the First Annual Global Employers’ Summit hosted by Bahrain has affirmed a commitment by business owners to the UN’s new sustainable development agenda. The Bahrain Declaration signed by International Organisation of Employers (IOE) president Daniel Funes de Rioja and Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry first vice-chairman Othman Alrayes commits to achieving the eighth Sustainable Development Goal which aims at “promoting inclusive and sustainable economic growth, employment and decent work for all,” said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.
