ISAS students show art skills on canvas at Dubai expo

Dubai’s International School of Arts and Sciences (ISAS) recently held its sixth art exhibition at the Wafi Mall in the emirate.
The exhibition displayed more than 30 paintings and art craft from students of different grades, said the statement.
The students showcased their flare for painting and ingenuity by using multiple techniques such as gouache, oil painting, pencil, collage and recycling, it said.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition was graced by Alia Lootah, a researcher in the Curatorial Department at The Louvre Abu Dhabi. She is an AMSI alumni, Class of 2006 and a graduate from the College of Fine Arts and Design at the University of Sharjah.
Apart from reviewing the work of students, Lootah also gave students useful tips in honing their creativity with the paint brush and other inventive methods of utilising the canvas, said the statement.
The art exhibition was a part if ISAS’ efforts to inculcate a sense of creativity and design a holistic approach to developing a child’s personality along with its academic programme, it added. - TradeArabia News Service
