OETC holds course in asset maintenance

MUSCAT, June 17, 2015

Oman Electricity Transmission Company (OETC ), a subsidiary of Nama Group, recently organised a training course in asset maintenance management which is part of the plan of implementing asset management project at the company.

The course was held at OETC’s headquarters with the presence of a number of engineers from various departments at the company.

The programme is an evolution in the field of maintenance management in consideration to getting the necessary approvals, determining the required materials and providing the adequate manpower.

The programme also saves time, effort and cost of assets maintenance in a way that makes it more organized because it’s based on studies, analysis and plans carried out by the program which helps engineers in their preparation of the annual plan of maintenance work.

Khalil Al Shukaily, supervisor of the project mentioned that this project is a step forward to take advantage of technical means in doing business in line with the company’s view to implement e-government policies.

“The programme has gone through different stages and several workshops were held in order to update it to get to the final picture which goes with the methodology adopted in maintenance work,” he said. – TradeArabia News Service
