Muscat Electricity Distribution Company (MEDC) in a partnership with Ministry of Education will distribute a total of 150 scientific bags containing various scientific experiments to school laboratories in the Omani capital.

Saeed bin Abdullah Al Battashi, head of Energy Efficiency & Conservation at MEDC said: “The company's participation in the scientific bags is a part of the memorandum of understanding between the two institutions which was signed in November 2014 and was among several projects for school students in the governorate of Muscat. It is considered a very interesting project for students as it contains educational experiments that develop student’s talents.”

“The company supports this project as part of its roles toward sustainability. This year and the past year, MEDC participated in several initiatives, such as ‘The book portfolio’ and ‘We live with electricity’ competition,” he added.

MEDC’s website link was added in the educational portal website to be accessible to all who want to take a look at the company's site and understand more about its services and various activities.

The “We live with electricity” initiative is a cooperation between the directorate and MEDC, which is a contest for students of different age groups to express their understanding of saving electricity through their drawings.
